Neighborhood block parties, playground discoveries, puppet play, stolen moments of car sleep, boat rides and blue skies, ER visit 1, first-time slumber parties, outdoor heat, ice cream sprinkles, ER visit 2, horse farms and picnicking, and the long-awaited grandma and great grandma trip to DC!

p.s. So sorry that this has taken so long to post. As you can see, we’ve been a bit crazed here, and the realities of a full-time job on my time are (sadly) apparent now. My new phrase here on life: We’re all trying, yo! But life with these two little and growing people is just amazing. And as much as we’ve enjoyed this summer, we’re looking forward to what’s to come. Can you believe that school starts in just a few days?! Soon it will be posts about morning jackets, parent-teacher conferences, and apple cider! We’re getting a preview of the changing seasons this morning. With steaming coffee in hand we strolled outside for the morning paper to find low 70s temps and grey sky. We’re leaving in just a minute for peach and apple picking, and I couldn’t be happier about that. Bring it on Fall, you are the BEST!
